Atrium Educational Research and Programming

Home

Atrium is an education non-profit focused on research related to career development and language instruction. These interests come from our own background as educators and bilingual/multilingual speakers and writers.

Mission

To generate tools, materials, and practices that improve language instruction and career development. We want also to understand processes underlying career development and language instruction through research.

Vision

We envision a space where English learners and multilingual students receive instruction tailored to their linguistic and cultural assets.

We also envision a space that connects knowledge and exploration of the real world through career development inquiry as a life-span process.

We don’t have a job; we have purpose. We do what we do because we deeply believe in the meaning and impact of our activities on the future confidence and well-being of our students.

Authenticity
We believe that everyone needs to follow their unique interests, ideas and beliefs. All human beings should strive for authenticity in the sense of alignment with what we truly are.

Growth
Our purpose is to grow in all possible ways by sharing, observing, learning and experiencing to become the best version of ourselves.

Empower
We look to support and encourage people in their pursuit of knowledge, experience, skills and passions to enable them to find an enriching path.

Who we are

We are curious lifelong learners that are convinced that everyone needs opportunities to explore interests and also get a better understanding of career paths in the current circumstances and job market. For us, career means a world of possibilities outside and inside college and university degrees.
